In this role, you'll teach in a self-contained program designed for middle schoolers requiring behavioral and emotional support. Leverage your expertise to guide students, manage a dynamic caseload, and collaborate with a dedicated team.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid New Hampshire Teaching License (required)
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher in behavioral or mental health settings preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP implementation, case management, and data-driven instruction
- Collaborative, compassionate, with excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to create a structured, supportive classroom environment
Responsibilities:
- Lead instruction for a self-contained class of approximately 10-16 students
- Develop, implement, and track progress on IEPs
- Conduct student evaluations and assessments as required
- Complete case management duties, including IEP meetings and parent communication
- Collaborate with school staff, therapists, and administrators to support comprehensive student care
- Create a supportive learning environment prioritizing emotional and behavioral growth alongside academics
This full-time contract runs from September 1, 2026, to June 16, 2027, and follows standard school hours (7:30 AM – 2:20 PM), with a weekly commitment of 32.5-35 hours.
