About This Role
Our licensed, NAEYC accredited, 5 STAR Early Care and Education Program seeks substitutes. We are seeking committed professionals willing to work as needed with children ages 6 weeks to three years. The ideal candidate will have experience working with very young children and a willingness to attend periodic trainings outside of regular business hours.
What You'll Do
Cover classrooms when teachers are absent to meet the care needs of children.
- Follow posted classroom schedule
- diaper changes
- food prep
- rest time needs
- daily notes
- parent communications
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- Must be 18 years of age
- Able to pass a back ground check and finger prints
- Experience working with children under the age of 3 and their parents
- Willingness to take 4 hours Early childhood professional development each year
- Flexible schedule
- Willingness to cover classrooms on short notice.
Nice To Haves
- Early Childhood Classroom experience
- CPR/First aid
- Vermont orientation Training
- Fundamentals training or Intro to early childhood Education college credits.
