Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A social work professional with telehealth expertise is needed to support students in an educational setting located in Boston, MA. This contract position involves delivering remote social work services tailored to meet the emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs of students.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide telehealth counseling and crisis intervention for students experiencing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges
- Collaborate remotely with educators, families, and support staff to develop and implement individualized support plans
- Conduct virtual assessments and provide referrals to community resources when needed
- Document all services provided in compliance with confidentiality and legal standards
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of telehealth best practices in school-based social work
Preferred qualifications and experience:
- Master’s degree in social work (MSW) from an accredited program
- Licensure or certification in social work as required by the state of Massachusetts
- Proven experience delivering social work services through telehealth platforms
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students, families, and school personnel remotely
- Familiarity with educational laws and child welfare regulations relevant to school social work
- Ability to manage multiple cases and maintain detailed records in a virtual environment
