Job Summary--Experienced Mason
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Landscape Mason to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for shaping, installing, and repairing stonework to create durable, aesthetically pleasing structures. Your expertise will contribute to a variety of projects: bluestone and paver patios, retaining walls, walkways, and boulder walls.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of MASONRY experience and is passionate about craftsmanship and detail-oriented.
Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, shape, and install natural and manufactured stones using hand tools and power tools to meet project specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and landscape construction drawings to ensure precise execution of designs.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying mortar or other bonding agents for secure installation.
- Execute concrete forming tasks and perform concrete finishing for structural elements.
- Install rebar reinforcement in concrete structures to ensure stability and durability.
- Perform restoration work on existing stone structures, including plastering, stucco application, caulking, and trim carpentry.
- Operate heavy equipment safely when required for lifting or moving large stone materials on-site, excavator license preferred.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other trades such as carpentry to coordinate project goals.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and inspecting tools regularly.
