About the Role
We are looking for a passionate Open Source Developer who is excited about building in public, contributing to developer ecosystems, and working on cutting-edge technologies such as LLMs, AI tooling, and scalable backend systems. This role is ideal for early-career engineers who love experimenting, learning fast, and shipping meaningful contributions.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to and maintain open-source projects (internal and external)
- Build and improve developer tools, APIs, and libraries
- Work with modern AI/ML stacks, including LLM integrations
- Collaborate with the engineering team to design scalable backend systems
- Write clean, well-documented, and testable code
- Engage with the open-source community (issues, PRs, discussions)
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies in AI, Python ecosystems, and developer tooling
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 0–3 years of experience in software development
- Strong proficiency in Python (preferred)
- Familiarity with Git and open-source workflows (PRs, forks, issues)
- Basic understanding of APIs, backend development, and system design
- Exposure to AI/ML concepts or interest in working with LLMs
- Good problem-solving skills and a builder mindset
Nice to Have
- Contributions to open-source projects (GitHub profile is a big plus)
- Experience with frameworks like FastAPI, Django, or Node.js
- Familiarity with tools like Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms
- Experience working with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Hugging Face, etc.)
- Understanding of vector databases or retrieval systems
