An opportunity is available for an Elementary Special Education Teaching Assistant to support students in a school setting through a contract role ending June 12. This position is located in Laconia, NH, and involves working Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing one-on-one support to the assigned student with behavioral, emotional, and academic needs
- Collaborating closely with additional paraprofessionals and classroom teachers to create a supportive learning environment
- Assisting with classroom activities and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Supporting student engagement and development in accordance with the school’s inclusive approach
Ideal candidates will have experience as paraprofessionals in elementary special education settings and demonstrate patience, strong communication skills, and a commitment to fostering student growth. Prior experience in behavior support and emotional development strategies is highly valued.
