Summary: The Resident Services Nurse (Registered Nurse) plays a crucial role in supporting the Resident Services Director with the comprehensive execution, delivery, and coordination of Resident Care Services within the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee associates in the Resident Services Department, including C.N.A.s (Resident Services Assistants).
  • Aid in managing the medication program and assist residents with self-medication.
  • Foster positive relationships with residents, their families, and healthcare providers.
  • Communicate any significant incidents or changes in residents' needs to the Executive Director/Resident Services Director.
  • Contribute to the completion of resident assessments and service plans.
  • Assist with clinical assessments and recertifications as per state regulations.
  • Support the Resident Services Director in recruitment and performance management within the department.
  • Participate in the training and orientation of new team members.
  • Attend and engage in scheduled training sessions, in-service programs, and team meetings.
  • Help with the scheduling and staffing of Resident Services Assistants as required.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to associates in the Resident Services Department as necessary.
  • Assist residents and their families to ensure a high level of satisfaction.
  • Supervise RSA staff during care provision.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a valid RN or LPN license in the state of Massachusetts.
  • Previous experience in assisted living or long-term care environments.
  • Certification in Basic First Aid and CPR.
  • A genuine passion for working with seniors.
