Summary: The Resident Services Nurse (Registered Nurse) plays a crucial role in supporting the Resident Services Director with the comprehensive execution, delivery, and coordination of Resident Care Services within the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee associates in the Resident Services Department, including C.N.A.s (Resident Services Assistants).
- Aid in managing the medication program and assist residents with self-medication.
- Foster positive relationships with residents, their families, and healthcare providers.
- Communicate any significant incidents or changes in residents' needs to the Executive Director/Resident Services Director.
- Contribute to the completion of resident assessments and service plans.
- Assist with clinical assessments and recertifications as per state regulations.
- Support the Resident Services Director in recruitment and performance management within the department.
- Participate in the training and orientation of new team members.
- Attend and engage in scheduled training sessions, in-service programs, and team meetings.
- Help with the scheduling and staffing of Resident Services Assistants as required.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to associates in the Resident Services Department as necessary.
- Assist residents and their families to ensure a high level of satisfaction.
- Supervise RSA staff during care provision.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid RN or LPN license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Previous experience in assisted living or long-term care environments.
- Certification in Basic First Aid and CPR.
- A genuine passion for working with seniors.
