ImageTek Mfg is a quickly growing and expanding contract manufacturer based in North Springfield, VT with global reach. We are adding a Financial Planning & Analysis Specialist to our amazing new team!
The FP&A Specialist position is fully responsible for full-cycle accounting, precise cost calculation and control, internal control compliance, and business transaction stream monitoring within regional operations. The role focuses on systematic tracking, collecting, calculating, and analyzing core operational and financial KPIs. By establishing rigorous data models and metric evaluation mechanisms, the position monitors business goal achievement, mitigates financial and compliance risks, and provides in-depth economic analysis and decision-making support to management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Tracking, Collection, Calculation, and Aggregation of Core KPIs
- Data Tracking & Collection: Periodically and accurately track and collect raw operational data from various
- business units, ensuring data timeliness, completeness, and compliance.
- Metric Calculation & Aggregation: Coordinate the calculation and multi-dimensional aggregation of core
- business metrics, including but not limited to: Scale & Output (Sales Revenue, Output, Sales/Output%),
- Efficiency & Value-add (Total HC, Output value per HC, MVA per HC), and Profitability (CM%, GM%, PAT).
- Variance Analysis & Alerting: Generate periodic KPI comparison and trend analysis reports, identifying
- efficiency bottlenecks and profitability deviations to provide quantitative management insights.
2. Cost Calculation & Control
- Full Cost Accounting: Responsible for the accumulation, allocation, and accounting of standard and actual
- manufacturing costs; conduct in-depth analysis of material, labor, and overhead cost drivers.
- Cost Monitoring & Analysis: Prepare periodic cost analysis reports, monitor expenditures throughout the
- manufacturing process, and identify opportunities for cost savings and optimization.
- BOM & Labor Cost Management: Maintain and verify Bills of Materials (BOM) and production labor costs to
- ensure the accuracy and reasonableness of the cost calculation system.
3. Transaction Streams & Accounting Control
- End-to-End Accounting Control: Deeply understand and oversee transaction streams across manufacturing
- and operations, ensuring highly efficient and precise execution of daily business activities (e.g., from Time Cards
- to payroll).
- Month-End Closing & Support: Assist the Finance Manager with month-end closing and provide
- comprehensive cost-related support.
4. Objectives Assessment & Financial Analysis
- Goal Monitoring: Develop and track quantitative performance metrics, assess progress toward entity goals, and
- identify potential risks hindering business advancement.
- Agile Plan Adjustment: Closely monitor budget-to-actual variances and objectively execute plan adjustments in
- response to internal/external changes.
Qualifications & Specifications
- Bachelor's degree or above in Economics, Management, Financial Management, Accounting, or a
- related field.
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing finance, cost accounting, or financial management.
- Familiarity with manufacturing operations and cost accounting processes.
- Excellent daily planning and long term project management skills.
- Understanding of ERP systems.
- Familiar with financial and tax compliance frameworks and internal control design capabilities.
