Job Title: Quality Technician (Textiles)
Location: Pittsfield, NH
Job Type: Full-Time
Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a Quality Technician to support quality assurance efforts at a textile manufacturing facility in Pittsfield, NH. This is a full-time contract role ideal for candidates with a background in textile production and quality control. The Quality Technician will be responsible for inspecting raw materials and finished goods, conducting standardized testing, and ensuring all products meet company and customer quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform quality inspections on raw materials, in-process goods, and finished textile products
- Conduct standardized tests for durability, shrinkage, colorfastness, tensile strength, and other textile properties
- Identify and document defects or non-conformities and collaborate with production teams to address issues
- Ensure all products comply with customer specifications, industry standards, and internal quality policies
- Maintain accurate and organized inspection reports, test data, and quality documentation
- Support the development and refinement of quality control processes and procedures
- Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to resolve quality concerns
- Provide training and support to production staff regarding quality practices and standards
- Ensure testing equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and functioning correctly
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field is preferred
- Proven experience in textile quality control or a similar manufacturing quality role
- Strong knowledge of textile materials, manufacturing processes, and testing procedures
- Familiarity with quality systems such as ISO 9001
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking
- Proficient in using quality inspection tools and data entry/reporting software
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and within a team
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual quality testing
- Must be able to lift and move rolls of fabric or samples as needed

Pay Details: $30.00 to $35.00 per hour
