Job Description

Direct Counsel is seeking a Litigation Of Counsel to join a top-tier Am Law firm with a national presence.

This firm is looking for an attorney with extensive experience in legal writing and a strong background in pharmaceutical/medical device Daubert and Rule 702 motions practice. This is a hybrid role and can be based in any of the firm’s U.S. offices listed above.

Key Responsibilities:

Draft and review discovery responses, motions, briefs, and legal memoranda
Develop and implement case strategies in collaboration with the litigation team
Work directly with clients and expert witnesses
Supervise junior associates
Conduct factual investigation and assist in deposition preparation

Qualifications:

JD from a nationally recognized law school
Admission to practice in the jurisdiction of one of the firm’s U.S. offices (NY license preferred)
8+ years of litigation experience, ideally at an Am Law 100 firm
Deep experience in writing Rule 702 and Daubert briefs
Experience in product liability litigation, especially in the pharmaceutical or medical device sectors
Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-office teams

Work Environment:

Hybrid schedule with regular in-office presence and some flexibility for remote work

Compensation:

Expected base salary range: $400,000 – $500,000, depending on location and qualifications
