Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification.
- Experience delivering virtual special education services.
- Confidence in providing 1:1 specially designed instruction to students with varied learning needs.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Flexibility and responsiveness in a dynamic, student-centered environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct specially designed instruction to a 5th grade male student for approximately 2 hours per week.
- Collaborate with families, staff, and additional service providers to ensure the best educational outcomes.
- Allocate and document indirect time needed for planning, reporting, and coordination.
- Adapt lesson plans and teaching strategies to meet the specific needs and learning goals of the student.
- Maintain thorough records of progress, documenting instructional time and outcomes.
- Be responsive to changes in service needs as the out-of-district placement process progresses.
