Job Description

Job Summary:

BB&N is seeking a Varsity Assistant Soccer Coach for the Boys Team and the Girls Team. This is a stipend, part-time position during the fall season. The Assistant Coach will work closely with the Head Coach and the Associate Director of Athletics for the US. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Practice planning and game oversight
Mentoring and instructing players in skill development, character development, and teamwork
Communicating with parents/guardians relevant information regarding games, practices, and other team commitments
Supporting and developing those students with an ability and/or desire to compete at the collegiate levelt

The BB&N Athletic Department expects its coaches to operate within the athletic philosophy of BB&N and adhere to the BB&N coaches’ manual as well as the Independent School League (ISL) and the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) rules and guidelines.

Upper School Coaching Schedule

Pre-season Coaches Meeting during the early evening on Monday, August 25th
The Varsity season begins on Wednesday, August 27th for preseason, and extends until Sunday, November 16, 2025, depending on post-season play.
Weekly practices range from 3:45pm to 6:00pm, with an occasional morning practice.
Games are typically on Wednesday afternoons and Saturdays; assistant coaches should be on-site and with the team at least 45 minutes before game time.

Holidays when school is not in session include:

Rosh Hashanah,
Yom Kippur,
Indigenous Peoples Day
