Job Description

Job Description

We are working with a regional law firm with offices in the tri-state area and New England, seeking a mid-level Litigation Associate with at least five years of civil litigation experience to join their Boston, MA office.

Their ideal candidate has at least five years of experience working on a diverse range of complex civil litigation matters in practice areas such as professional liability, commercial and business litigation, product liability, employment and labor, and environmental and toxic torts.

This is a great opportunity for an associate who is ready to take on a substantive and engaging role that balances autonomy with collaboration. You'll manage a diverse caseload from start to finish - drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery, meeting critical deadlines, and driving matters forward. You will prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, and trials. You'll play a key role in developing litigation strategies, working closely with clients, experts, and colleagues across the firm. Maintaining proactive and professional communication with clients - including providing status updates and strategic guidance - will be an essential part of your practice.

Candidates should have a Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school, admission to the Massachusetts Bar, and at least five years of civil litigation experience in both Massachusetts state and federal courts. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong advocacy skills, proficiency in drafting and arguing dispositive motions, and the ability to perform legal research. Taking and defending fact witness and expert depositions will also be part of your role, making attention to detail and effective communication are key attributes for success.

The firm offers a competitive salary, bonus potential, a wide range of benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, FSA and HSA plans, short-term and long-term disability, and a 401(k)/profit sharing plan. The firm also offers a collegial and collaborative work environment, professional development opportunities, a supportive environment offering opportunities for growth and advancement, and a hybrid work schedule.

For consideration, please provide your resume and a writing sample. A cover letter is appreciated but not required. All applications are confidential and NOT shared with employers without the candidate's permission.
