Embark on a rewarding contract assignment from September 2026 through June 2027 providing focused, impactful instruction to students in a nurturing educational setting near New London, NH. This unique part-time role, totaling 25 hours per week, seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher skilled in delivering high-quality reading and academic support.
You'll have the opportunity to make a direct difference by providing 5 hours of targeted Wilson Reading Instruction to a middle school student, and an additional 20 hours of instruction across a local high school, charter school, and Montessori environment. Flexibility is a hallmark of this position—while in-person engagement is preferred, remote candidates will also be considered should an on-site educator not be available.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Demonstrated expertise in Wilson Reading Instruction or a similar structured literacy program
- Prior experience working with middle and high school students
- Comfortable providing instruction across varied school environments
- Strong organizational skills and reliability
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, personalized Wilson Reading sessions to individual middle school students
- Plan and provide instructional services for high school, charter, and Montessori students as assigned
- Collaborate with educational teams to ensure students receive appropriate support
- Maintain clear records on instruction and progress
- Adapt instruction to meet a variety of learning needs and settings
