We are excited to announce a Tableau Developer/Data Analyst contract opportunity in Quincy, MA.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Tableau dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to support business needs.
  • Analyze complex data sets and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and document business requirements for reporting and analytics projects.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy through thorough data validation and troubleshooting.
  • Assist in defining key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting metrics.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Work with Product Owner (PO) to define and capture requirements.
  • Participate in team meetings to gather detailed requirements.
  • Collaborate with Development Lead to ensure accurate requirement documentation.

Project Details

  • Project/Initiative: Supports governance function with architecture.
  • Contract Duration: 6 months, with potential for extension.
  • Work Schedule: EST hours, 8 AM – 5 PM preferred.
  • Work Environment: Hybrid (4 days onsite, 1 day remote). Collaboration with teams in the US and China.
  • Training: On-the-job training provided.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 years of experience with Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Tableau Desktop and Tableau Prep.
  • Proven experience in Tableau development, including dashboard design and performance optimization.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and data engineering best practices.
  • Experience designing, loading, and performance tuning STAR schema data models from flat files.
  • Familiarity with data governance practices to ensure data accuracy.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate insights.
  • Experience in business analysis tasks such as requirements gathering, process mapping, and gap analysis.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on data accuracy and visualization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI is a plus.

Preferred Background

  • At least 8 years of total experience.
  • Minimum 5 years in technology roles as a Tableau Developer/Data Analyst.
