Job Title: Attorney
Location: Concord, NH
Salary Rate: $70,000 - $95,000.
In business for over 40 years, my client is a well-respected firm in NH, specializing in a variety of practice areas. We are seeking an attorney with experience in legal writing to join our team. In this role, you will focus on drafting, editing, and refining a wide range of legal documents, including motions, briefs, memos, and client communications. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with a deep understanding of legal research and the ability to translate complex legal concepts into clear, concise writing. What You Will Do:
- Draft high-quality legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, and memoranda, across various practice areas.
- Edit and review legal documents for clarity, accuracy, and compliance with relevant legal standards and court rules.
- Conduct thorough legal research to support written arguments and filings.
- Collaborate with litigators, in-house counsel, or clients to refine messaging and strategy in written advocacy.
- Develop templates and writing standards to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Provide writing support for client communications, policy documents, and internal guidance.
Skills & Qualifications Required:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- 3+ years of legal writing experience, preferably in litigation or appellate work.
- Exceptional written communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong legal research abilities and familiarity with tools such as Westlaw or LexisNexis.
- Ability to synthesize complex legal issues into clear, persuasive narratives.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple writing projects simultaneously.
- Prior experience with legal editing or teaching legal writing is a plus
