Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Seeking two dedicated Special Education Teachers to support students in a K-12 public school setting in Fall River, MA. These full-time positions (37.5 hours per week) offer a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact through specialized programs designed to meet diverse student needs. The contract duration is for the uping school year.
Positions available:
- Elementary level: RISE program (Kindergarten through 4th grade). This in-district program serves students with intellectual impairments and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), utilizing an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) methodology. Each classroom team prises a special educator, educational assistant, Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), and is supported by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Middle School level: Therapeutic Learning Center (TLC) program (grades 5-7). This program supports students with emotional impairments through a therapeutic approach. Classrooms include one special educator, two educational assistants, and a dedicated School Adjustment Counselor.
Key qualifications:
- Active Massachusetts Special Education Licensure required
- Experience working with students with intellectual impairments, ASD, or emotional impairments preferred
- Familiarity with ABA methodology and therapeutic education settings a plus
- Strong collaboration and munication skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with students unique needs
- Collaborating with educational assistants, behavioral specialists, and counselors to provide prehensive support
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting strategies as necessary
- Supporting a positive and inclusive classroom environment
