Job Description
The Inspector ensures that finished products, in-process items, incoming materials, parts, and assemblies consistently meet established quality standards. This role uses advanced inspection methods, detailed recordkeeping, and strong analytical skills to support continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment. The Inspector works under general supervision, exercises discretion within their area of responsibility, and collaborates closely with other departments to maintain product quality, safety, and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Inspect finished products, products in process, incoming materials, parts, and assemblies to verify conformance to established company standards.
- Perform random sampling and checks to verify the accuracy and consistency of equipment, tools, and production processes.
- Identify and report conditions that require immediate repair or corrective action.
- Use advanced inspection methods and tools to develop, implement, and conduct quality programs.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports that document inspection results, nonconformances, and corrective actions.
- Inspect work areas to detect unsafe conditions and support a safe working environment.
- Obtain samples for laboratory analysis and determine appropriate measures to correct deviations from standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve quality issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Adhere to company quality levels, policies, standard operating procedures, and safety standards.
- Maintain good working relationships with colleagues across the organization.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized work environment.
- Foster a positive team atmosphere that supports strong performance and cooperation.
- Perform team-related duties and coverage as needed to support production and quality goals.
- Work under general supervision while exercising discretion within the assigned area of responsibility and recommending actions or alternatives to supervisors and others.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of quality control or quality inspection experience.
- Experience with manufacturing and production processes, including continuous improvement objectives.
- Strong quality control and quality assurance knowledge, including visual inspection techniques.
- Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Strong analytical skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects or assignments effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to multitask and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work as a results-driven team player.
- Ability to exercise discretion, confidentiality, and sensitivity in handling information.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, including simple formatting.
- Ability to learn and use an ERP system.
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work overtime, including weekends, when required.

Work Environment
This role is based in a manufacturing environment with standard hours of Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:45 PM, with overtime including weekends as needed. Work involves a mix of sitting and standing for extended periods, with frequent walking, reaching, and use of hands and arms to operate tools, handle materials, and perform detailed inspections. The position requires the ability to lift and carry objects up to 30–40 pounds. The work is typically sedentary to light, with occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling as needed to access inspection areas. The role demands considerable mental concentration and sustained visual focus for extended periods due to repetitive, detail-oriented inspection tasks. The environment includes exposure to moving mechanical parts, heat, dust, and other minor workplace inconveniences, as well as general operational hazards that require strict adherence to personal protective equipment (PPE) and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for safety. The workspace is expected to be kept safe, clean, and well organized.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Attleboro Falls, MA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
