A Snapshot of Your Day

The Quality Engineering Intern role undertakes a variety of on-going activities and assigned projects at varying levels of professional complexity, requiring knowledge within an area of specialty and/or engineering college major. You are responsible for designing test procedures in accordance with Pitco standards and leading continuous improvement efforts within the QA department. This includes identifying process optimization opportunities, analyzing First Pass Yield data, and implementing build-process updates to minimize repeat defects.

You are a self-starter who can work in a fast-paced environment and possess an excellent work ethic.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Develop, maintain, and improve test and inspection methods for electronic assemblies, including AFB computer boards and related test modules.
  • Verify product performance through structured testing of computer modules, power supplies, solenoid modules, and ignition modules, ensuring conformance to specifications and quality standards.
  • Analyze test results to identify defects, failure modes, and trends; drive corrective actions and preventive actions (CAPA) with cross-functional teams.
  • Support root cause investigations for test failures and coordinate containment, rework, and verification activities as needed.
  • Document test procedures, acceptance criteria, and results to support traceability, audits, and continuous improvement.
  • Create and maintain process-specific work instructions to ensure consistent, standardized execution across each operation.

Requirements:

What You Offer
· You are actively pursuing a degree in one of the following: Manufacturing, Industrial or Quality Engineering.
· Proficiency in reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals with the ability to read, converse, and understand technical English give you a strong foundation to perform this role.
· You possess strong ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
· You are mechanically inclined and have experience with powered hand tools.
· You can read schematics and possess good dexterity in hands/fingers. Physically, you must be able to stand, walk and lift up to 40 lbs consistently.
