Your role will center around supporting student development and fostering access to education, working with a diverse caseload spanning kindergarten through high school. The exact schedule will be determined prior to your start date, offering adaptability to fit your preferences.
Qualifications & Desired Experience
- Licensed Physical Therapist with current credentials in the state or eligible for licensure
- Previous experience working in pediatric, school-based, or educational settings is strongly preferred
- Skilled collaborator with teachers, staff, students, and families
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational abilities
- Commitment to upholding best practices and ethical standards
- Adaptable and comfortable working independently across multiple schools
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized therapy plans for students in K-12
- Deliver targeted interventions to improve student mobility, participation, and functional skills within the educational environment
- Document progress, communicate findings, and participate in IEP meetings as required
- Serve as a resource for faculty and families regarding strategies to promote student success
- Travel between assigned school sites within the district
