The Position: As a Bakery Flour Sales Associate, you will be at the heart of delivering seamless order fulfillment and outstanding customer service. Acting as the frontline connection between customers, sales, and logistics, you will oversee the order-to-cash process, ensuring smooth order flow, proactive issue resolution, and on-time deliveries. Beyond order management, you will be responsible for inventory allocation, logistics coordination, and ensure compliance with customer requirements to maintain seamless operations. By leveraging data and customer insights, you will anticipate challenges, resolve discrepancies, and drive continuous improvements that enhance efficiency, minimize chargebacks, and strengthen customer relationships in a fast-paced supply chain environment.

Reports to: Sales Support Manager

Location: Hybrid with travel onsite to King Arthur Baking offices in White River Junction, VT 1-2 times per month.

The Pay: $19.77 to $24.07; commensurate with experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers, brokers, and sales teams, managing inquiries, order status updates, pricing, and contract details.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, including handling escalations and supporting long-term engagement.
  • Oversee customer onboarding ensuring timely system setup, portal access, and documentation requests.
  • Manage the entire order-to-cash process, including accurate order entry, EDI transactions, portal tasks, and exception resolution.
  • Monitor inventory allocation and collaborate on demand planning and sales forecasting to ensure timely fulfillment for standard and promotional orders.
  • Coordinate outbound logistics for delivered and customer pickup (CPU) orders, ensuring compliance with routing guides, documentation standards, and food safety regulations.
  • Partner with internal teams (finance, production, procurement) to resolve operational challenges and maintain seamless workflows.
  • Track customer scorecards, KPIs, and reporting to identify issues early, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Investigate and resolve shipping errors, payment discrepancies, and manage freight and quality claims with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP),Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and related systems, leveraging technology for operational efficiency and troubleshooting technical issues.

Experience and Education

  • 3+ years expertise within the supply chain discipline, CPG and customer facing experience preferred.
  • 3+ years functional experience in automated Order-to-Cash systems and process-Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP),Order Management Systems (OMS),EDI/API, SAP S/4HANA preferred.
  • Skilled and adept in Microsoft platforms: Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Reputable supply chain certification preferred (e.g. APICS)

Working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, and experience in advanced analytics tools including Data Cubes and MS Power BI.
  • Analytical thinking:?Ability to break down a problem, analyze paths to resolution, and define a solution. Ability to compile, analyze, and leverage data to enhance operational performance.
  • Financial Acumen: Foundational knowledge on role impact to P&L results inclusive of deductions and charge backs, freight, and supply chain activity cost drivers.
