CR Machine is expanding capacity to support complex, precision turning work in stainless steel and high-temperature alloys. This role is critical to owning jobs end-to-end — from programming and setup through production and inspection — ensuring quality, efficiency, and repeatability.

The Work You’ll Be Doing\n

In this role, you will:

\n

    \n
  • Program, set up, and operate multi-axis CNC lathes
  • \n

  • Take parts from raw material to finished product independently
  • \n

  • Read and interpret customer drawings, blueprints, and specifications
  • \n

  • Determine machining strategy including speeds, feeds, tolerances, and operation sequence
  • \n

  • Make complete setups, run trial cuts, and dial in programs
  • \n

  • Perform light hand-finishing and secondary operations as needed
  • \n

  • Troubleshoot machining issues and optimize processes for quality and efficiency
  • \n

  • Collaborate with other machinists, supervisors, and quality personnel
  • \n

Machines, Controls & Software\n

You’ll work with equipment such as:

\n

    \n
  • Machines: Miyano, Doosan, Smart CNC lathes; Kitamura & Brother CNC mills
  • \n

  • Controls: Fanuc-style controls (varies by machine)
  • \n

  • CAM Software: Fusion360 (preferred), Mastercam
  • \n

  • Inspection Tools: Micrometers, calipers, surface gages, dial indicators, profilometer, CMM, vision systems
  • \n

  • Stainless steel

What We’re Looking For\n

Required

\n

    \n
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • \n

  • Strong experience setting up and running CNC lathes
  • \n

  • Ability to read blueprints and understand tolerances & GD&T
  • \n

  • Proficiency with precision inspection tools
  • \n

  • Solid understanding of shop math and trigonometry
  • \n

  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-minded
  • \n

\n

Preferred (Not Required)

\n

    \n
  • 5+ years of CNC machining and programming experience
  • \n

  • Experience programming with Fusion360 or Mastercam
  • \n

  • Familiarity with Miyano, Doosan, Smart, Kitamura, or Brother machines
  • \n

  • Experience owning jobs from programming through production
  • \n
