Job Title: Surgical Technician
Shift: 40 Hours per Week, 8-Hour Day Shifts (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
Duration: 13 Weeks (with possibility of extension)
Compensation: $2,000 – $2,440 per week (based on experience)

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technician to support surgical teams in delivering safe and efficient patient care. The Surgical Tech will assist during procedures, maintain a sterile environment, and ensure all instruments and equipment are properly prepared and available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare operating rooms with instruments, sterile drapes, and necessary supplies
- Maintain strict sterile technique in accordance with industry standards
- Assist surgeons by passing instruments and supplies during procedures
- Handle and label surgical specimens for laboratory analysis
- Assist with patient positioning and surgical site preparation
- Perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts with the surgical team
- Prepare and label medications under supervision
- Ensure proper functionality and availability of surgical equipment
- Assist with room turnover, cleaning, and restocking
- Support sterilization processes and operate OR equipment as needed
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Participate in training, meetings, and ongoing education
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical/Operating Room Technician program (civilian or military)
- NBSTSA Certification (must be current and maintained)
- BLS Certification
- Strong knowledge of sterile techniques and surgical procedures
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Orthopedic surgical experience
- Prior experience in a hospital operating room setting
