Overview:
Our client is seeking compassionate and dedicated Health Aide to provide essential care to individuals in their homes and our clients residential houses. As an Aide, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for clients by assisting with daily living activities and ensuring their comfort and safety. This position requires a caring demeanor, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently while following care plans.

Responsibilities :

  • Provide personal care services including bathing, grooming, and dressing assistance.
  • Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
  • Support clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities- providing companionship and engaging them in meaningful activities.
  • Aid individuals with disabilities in their daily routines, promoting independence while ensuring safety.
  • Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health status to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional.
  • Assist with meal preparation and ensure clients receive proper nutrition.
  • Help clients with mobility issues by providing assistance during transfers and ambulation.
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.

Qualifications:

  • Must be MAP certified
  • Pass background check, fingerprint and drug screening
  • Previous experience in home community care, assisted living, or nursing home settings is preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare systems is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with medication administration protocols is required.
  • Experience providing care for individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Must be reliable, compassionate, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Certification as a Home Health Aide or similar qualification is preferred but not mandatory.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.50 per hour
