Location: Boston, MA (On‑Site at Greater Boston Area University Campuses)

Job Type: Project‑Based, Full‑Time

Project Duration: May – September

Position Overview

We are hiring Low Voltage Cabling Technicians to support classroom and campus technology upgrades at colleges and universities across the Greater Boston area. This is a hands‑on, on‑site role focused on assisting with cabling and physical installation work in classrooms, lecture halls, and learning spaces.

No prior AV experience is required. This role is open to entry‑level candidates, including individuals coming from construction, labor, or trade‑helper backgrounds. Training will be provided on tools, cabling methods, and basic AV installation tasks. We are looking for dependable, safety‑minded people who are willing to learn and work hard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with pulling, routing, and organizing low‑voltage cabling in classroom spaces
  • Support installation of displays, projectors, screens, and related equipment
  • Help install cable supports, raceway, and basic pathways
  • Work alongside experienced technicians during room buildouts
  • Follow instructions from supervisors and lead technicians
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
  • Safely use basic hand tools, ladders, and lifts (training provided if needed)
  • Communicate progress and issues to the project team

Required Qualifications

  • No prior AV or low‑voltage experience required
  • Willingness to learn hands‑on trade skills
  • Comfortable working on ladders and lifting equipment
  • Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Professional behavior suitable for active college campuses

Preferred (Not Required)

  • Construction, labor, warehouse, or trade‑helper experience
  • Interest in learning low‑voltage, cabling, or AV technology
  • Exposure to job‑site or project‑based work environments

Work Environment & Schedule

  • Fully on‑site at colleges and universities across Greater Boston
  • Full‑time hours for the duration of the project (May through September)
  • Travel between campus locations may be required

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Boston, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.
