CNC Machinist Setup/Operator Job Description
Sparton Technology Corp is looking to hire CNC Machinists for 1st shift.

- We have the AC on in the summer to keep it comfortable.
CNC Machinist Setup / Operator Responsibilities and Duties
- Set up CNC Milling Machines (3 and 5 axis)
- Set up CNC Turning Centers (lathes)
- Make proper offsets and adjustments to ensure parts are acceptable
- Operate job until an operator can be shown the job
- Must have strong knowledge of various machine platforms as well as corresponding “G” and “M” codes
- Keep a tidy and organized work area
- Accurately create and fill in data for the QA Sheet and verify completeness based on part print
CNC Machinist / Operator Qualifications and Skills
- Strong shop math background
- 5+ Years experience as a CNC Machinist setting up Mills or Turning Centers
- Blue print reading skills
