Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a contract paraprofessional and behavior specialist in a school setting near Bristol, VT. This role offers the opportunity to provide focused 1:1 assistance to pediatric learners, helping them reach their potential while working in an inclusive educational environment.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree or Highly Qualified Paraprofessional Certification required
  • Minimum of one year of experience working in a school setting preferred
  • Skills or experience as a paraprofessional, behavior specialist, or experience with pediatric students is beneficial
  • Ability to work collaboratively with educators, therapists, and school staff
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities
  • Enthusiasm for supporting diverse learners and promoting positive behavior

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct support to students as a 1:1 aide, following their individualized learning and behavioral plans
  • Assist with classroom activities, reinforcing academic material and behavioral expectations under teacher guidance
  • Implement strategies outlined by educators and specialists for behavioral support
  • Document student progress and note observations for educational teams
  • Facilitate student participation and engagement in classroom and school activities
  • Provide a safe, supportive, and encouraging learning environment
