Join our Maintenance team in Brockton, MA as the Industrial Maintenance Supervisor. You’ll report to the Sr. Maintenance Manager and act as the point person ensuring equipment uptime, safety, and compliance in a fast-paced USDA-regulated facility.

Why this role matters

  • Keep operations running: plan priorities, schedule repairs/installs, and prepare equipment before production starts.
  • Protect people and product: maintain a safe, clean plant and uphold city/fire codes and safety programs (LOTO, ladder safety, etc.).
  • Grow skills on the floor: train techs on lifts, welding, and wastewater operations; coach cross-functional partners.
  • Ensure continuity: coordinate in the Maintenance Supervisor’s absence and manage contractors during scheduled work.

What you’ll do every week

  • Execute preventive maintenance plans; open and track work orders.
  • Troubleshoot high-speed packaging systems (wrappers, checkweighers, cartoners, case packers, UPC barcoding, box/erector equipment, conveyors).
  • Read electrical controls schematics; perform testing and repairs on 110/230/460V systems (motors, starters, relays, timers, panels, breakers, conduit, wiring).
  • Handle minor PLC programming and troubleshooting.
  • Rapidly respond to breakdowns; dismantle/reassemble assets for cleaning, lubrication, and corrective actions.
  • Fabricate and modify parts/equipment as required.
  • Collaborate openly with Maintenance, Sanitation, Production, and Logistics to resolve facility issues (lighting, plumbing, electrical).

Must-haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent; proficiency in reading/writing/basic math.
  • 5+ years of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic experience in USDA or FDA food manufacturing.
  • Self-directed, dependable, safety- and quality-minded; strong communicator (bilingual English/Spanish a plus).

  • Broad maintenance and repair capabilities across plant equipment.
