This part-time role involves delivering specialized instructional services from September through June, totaling 25 hours per week, Monday through Friday. You’ll provide 5 hours of targeted Wilson Reading Instruction for a middle school student and dedicate 20 additional hours offering specialized instruction at a high school, charter school, and Montessori setting.
The focus here is purely on instruction—no additional case management or administrative tasks. Your expertise will help support learners’ unique needs, foster growth, and provide them with critical skills for academic success. For the right candidate, remote teaching options may be considered if in-person availability is a challenge.
What you’ll bring:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Proven experience with Wilson Reading Instruction or a demonstrated willingness and capacity to train in this area
- Background working with diverse student needs at the middle and high school levels
- Ability to provide individualized instruction and adapt methods to various learning environments (in-person and possibly virtual)
- Strong communication skills with students, staff, and families
- Adaptable approach to shifting student requirements and settings
