Registered Nurse – Behavioral Health (Geropsychiatry) - Manchester, NH
Job Details:
- Shift: Night 3x12s (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Schedule: Every other weekend required
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
- Unit: Geropsychiatry (locked inpatient unit)
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience (required)
- Must have Geriatric Psych inpatient experience (HARD STOP)
- Must have Medical-Surgical (MS) experience (HARD STOP)
- No first-time travelers accepted
- Active RN license (NH license or compact eligible)
- BLS and CPI required
- Epic experience required
Skills Required:
- Geriatric psychiatric patient care in locked inpatient setting
- Dementia, bipolar, depression, anxiety, psychosis care
- Medication administration and monitoring
- Foley catheter insertion and management
- Wound care and dressing changes
- IV fluids and basic IV therapy
- Mobility assistance and lift equipment use
- Incontinence care and behavioral support
- 1:1 observation and safety monitoring
- De-escalation and behavioral management techniques
Facility Details:
- 25-bed geriatric psych unit within a locked inpatient behavioral health setting
- Patient ratio: 1:6 nights
- Patients include dementia with behavioral disturbances and acute psychiatric conditions
- Split unit: psychiatric and behavioral care sections
- Epic charting system used
- Lift equipment and IV therapy training provided
Additional Notes:
- Floating required to adult behavioral health units as needed
- Must be comfortable with high-acuity, hands-on patient care
- Strict compliance: no former employees of SolutionHealth accepted
- COVID vaccine not required; flu vaccine required with exemptions allowed
