POSITION SUMMARY:

The Houseperson is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the hotel and providing guests with quality service in a timely and friendly manner.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Cleaning and maintaining the appearance of the public areas of the hotel, including deep cleaning of assigned areas.

• Setting up and maintaining the complimentary hotel lobby functions including coffee service and nightly concierge events.

• Cleaning and setting up meeting functions rooms.

• Restocking housekeeping stations.

• Delivering service items to guest rooms upon request from the front desk.

• Driving the hotel shuttle van when needed.

• Perform other duties as assigned or needed.

Requirements:

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.

• Able to stand and walk up to 8 hours daily.

• Able to push and pull equipment, including but not limited to, industrial vacuum cleaners.

• Able to climb ladders and access areas such as closets.

• Able to drive a van and assist guests with disabilities in and out of van.

• Strong eyesight to identify and correct any areas needing cleaning.

TYPICAL MENTAL DEMANDS:

• Able to prioritize workload and multi-task when additional duties are assigned.

• Able to exercise discretion when responding to requests from hotel guests.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Exposure to detergents and cleaning solvents.

• Employees are expected to comply with existing safety procedures.

• The ability to work in close proximity with others comfortably, while multitasking in a fast paced environment.

• Hospitality environment requires polite, professional conduct and communication at all times.

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule; days, nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed.
