Travel Physical Therapist (PT)

Hyannis, MA
13-Week Contract | Full-Time | 40 Hours per Week
Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,264.80

  • Monday-Friday
  • \n

  • 2 weekends (or 4 weekend days) during the 13-week contract

  • Occasional holiday coverage as needed

Position Summary\n

The Physical Therapist organizes and conducts medically prescribed therapy programs to help restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent disability for adult and pediatric patients. The PT evaluates patients, develops individualized treatment plans, and implements evidence-based interventions to maximize functional outcomes.

Responsibilities\n

    \n
  • Evaluate new patients and establish measurable treatment goals.
  • \n

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings.
  • \n

  • Administer diagnostic muscle, nerve, joint, and functional ability assessments.
  • \n

  • Provide therapeutic interventions and modify treatment plans based on patient progress.
  • \n

  • Maintain accurate, timely, and objective documentation of patient care.
  • \n

  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans, home exercise programs, and ongoing rehabilitation needs.
  • \n

  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding patient progress and discharge planning.
  • \n

  • Supervise and provide guidance to Physical Therapist Assistants, aides, and therapy students.
  • \n

  • Assist with orientation and training of new staff as requested.
  • \n

  • Maintain compliance with departmental policies, safety standards, infection control practices, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • \n

  • Participate in meetings, continuing education, and professional development activities.
  • \n

  • Maintain daily patient activity and charge records.
  • \n

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • \n

Required Qualifications\n

    \n
  • Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
  • \n

  • Current Massachusetts Physical Therapy License.
  • \n

  • Current BLS Certification.
  • \n

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • \n
