Seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic professional to support students in a contract Special Education teaching role for the 2026-27 school year. This is a part-time opportunity, 25 hours per week, running September through June. Your expertise will be key in providing targeted instruction across multiple educational settings, including middle school, high school, a charter school, and a Montessori environment near Charlestown, NH.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification required
- Experience delivering Wilson Reading Instruction preferred
- Demonstrated success working with middle and high school-aged students
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage instruction across different school environments
- Comfortable providing direct instruction only (no case management responsibilities)
- Open to both in-person and remote teaching options
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver 5 hours per week of Wilson Reading-focused instruction to a middle school student
- Provide an additional 20 hours per week of special education services at the high school, charter school, and Montessori settings
- Focus exclusively on instructional delivery, supporting students’ individual education goals
- Collaborate with education staff to promote positive learning outcomes
- Adapt teaching techniques to accommodate various learning styles and environments
