Universal Logistics of Virginia, LLC (A wholly owned subsidiary of Estes Express Lines, Inc) is currently seeking motivated and customer-oriented CDL-A Flatbed Shuttle Drivers.
This is a daily flatbed shuttle position for routes running from (Newington, NH to Hopedale, MA).
Compensation, there is a base pay per shuttle load as well as a 300 mile minimum at $.64 per mile. If shuttle runs are not available, local work will be.
Most shuttle runs start late afternoons and into overnight as shuttles need to deliver by 7am the day after the load originates.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- No endorsements are necessary.
- 21 years of age required with (2 years) driving experience (required).
- Valid - Class A Commercial Driver's License.
- FMCSA requirements.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- Must be able to provide an acceptable MVR.
- Must be familiar with state motor vehicle laws, FMCSA rules and regulations, pass required DOT medical exam and speak and read English.
- Must be able to lift approximately 70 lbs., or more if required by the essential functions of the job.
- Must pass a road test.
- Must be able to drive in a wide range of environmental conditions, including, but not limited to, rain, wind, snow, freezing temperatures, hot weather, etc.
