Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to serve high school students in grades 9-12. This full-time contract position, based in Kingston, NH, focuses on addressing the academic needs of students within a charter school setting.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students' academic requirements
- Deliver specialized instruction and support for students with diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure cohesive educational strategies
- Monitor and assess student progress, modifying instructional methods as necessary
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with families and school personnel
Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Experience working with high school students in a special education setting
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Work Schedule and Location:
- Full-time position, 37.5 hours per week
- Contract duration aligned with the school year
- Located in Kingston, NH, serving the Sanborn Regional School District SAU 17
