Job Summary
We are seeking a Transportation Manager to join the team! As our Transportation Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and dispatching working around drivers’ schedules, and considering road conditions and weather. Your goal will be to maximize efficiency through dispatching and utilize all assets effectively while providing a positive work environment. The ideal candidate has knowledge of DOT laws and regulations, previous management or dispatching experience, and strong organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Handle all scheduling and coordinating for dispatching
- Customer Relations
- Communication with clients
- Answering phone call form cleints
- Training new driver on wheelchair Securement, company policies and vehicle maintenance
- Handle dispatch issues as they arise, including working around last-minute changes, weather challenges, and more
- Analyze routes, and maximize efficiency
- Create a positive, healthy work environment for both office staff and transportation staff
Qualifications
- Previous management or dispatch experience strongly desired
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail
