Northwest Talent Solutions is partnering with a confidential aerospace and defense organization to hire an Advanced Software Engineer supporting secure, mission-critical cybersecurity management applications. This is a fully on-site role for engineers who enjoy working on complex systems that directly support national security missions.
In this role, you will join a collaborative, cross-functional engineering team building and enhancing high-reliability software used in regulated, security-focused environments. You will work with modern development tools and frameworks while contributing to systems that demand performance, accuracy, and resilience.
What You'll Do:

Design, develop, and enhance enterprise-grade software applications

Work with Java and enterprise Java technologies in a secure environment

Build and integrate backend services using Spring, Hibernate, and SQL-based databases

Contribute to frontend functionality using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React)

Collaborate in Agile teams to deliver high-quality, well-tested software

Apply secure coding practices throughout the development lifecycle
What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in software engineering or a related STEM field

5+ years of professional software development experience

Strong experience with Java / Enterprise Java

Working knowledge of Spring, Hibernate, and SQL/PostgreSQL

Experience with JavaScript and React preferred

Ability to work effectively in a fully on-site, team-based environment

U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance
