Job Summary:
- This role is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment to support safe, efficient, and compliant operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Job Duties:
- Perform corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance on production, facility, and utility equipment.
- Ensure equipment operates safely and reliably, with all guards and safety devices in place.
- Maintain product quality and food safety by following GMPs, HACCP, allergen, food defense, and quality standards.
- Accurately complete documentation, including CMMS work orders, notifications, and time tracking.
- Communicate equipment, safety, or food safety concerns to supervision promptly.
- Support equipment setup, startup, shutdown, and disassembly as needed.
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and comply with 5S and safety requirements.
- Respond to radio calls and prioritize tasks in coordination with facility leadership.
- Participate in shift handoffs and collaborate across shifts to ensure continuity of operations.
- Spend the majority of time on the production floor supporting repairs, PMs, observations, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- General maintenance experience with basic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of CMMS systems and work order processes.
- Entry-level experience troubleshooting processing and packaging equipment.
- Familiarity with PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, and basic shop equipment operation.
- Basic fabrication and welding (ARC/MIG) skills preferred.
- Experience in food manufacturing, GMP environments, or Lean/5S practices preferred.
- Ability to work overtime as needed and maintain regular, predictable attendance.
