This travel MRI technologist role provides a unique chance to collaborate with skilled professionals in a cutting-edge radiology department, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and advanced technology. Schedule/Hours:

  • 40 hours/week, 2:30–11:00pm
    • Week 1: Mon/Tue/Thur/Fri/Sat
    • Week 2: Sun/Mon/Tue/Thur/Fri

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, position, and conduct routine and specialized MRI studies for outpatient and research patients, with and without contrast.
  • Select imaging parameters and protocols, perform computer image processing, and ensure high diagnostic quality.
  • Insert IVs, administer contrast, and monitor for contraindications and adverse reactions.
  • Document all exam and contrast details in the EMR.
  • Instruct patients and visitors in MRI safety protocols and ensure compliance.
  • Perform scheduled equipment quality control and maintain accurate QA records.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and child life specialists as needed for comprehensive patient care.
  • Rotate across scanners and assist with department logistics as required.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Imaging Program (certificate/diploma required; Associate's preferred).
  • BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Advanced MR certification (ARRT or ARMRIT) within 12 months of hire.
