Licensed Dog Groomer

What You’ll Do
- Provide professional grooming services for dogs of various breeds, sizes, and coat types
- Perform bathing, brushing, drying, clipping, trimming, scissoring, and styling
- Complete breed-specific and customer-requested cuts
- Trim nails and clean ears as appropriate
- Safely handle dogs with different temperaments and comfort levels
- Assess coat and skin condition before beginning services
- Discuss grooming preferences with pet owners and recommend appropriate services
- Maintain accurate grooming notes and customer preferences
- Keep grooming stations, tools, and equipment clean and sanitized
- Follow proper sanitation, animal-handling, and workplace safety procedures
- Monitor pets throughout the grooming process for signs of stress or discomfort
- Provide a friendly, professional experience that encourages customers to return
What We’re Looking For
- Current dog grooming license or certification as required by applicable state/local regulations
- Professional dog grooming experience preferred
- Knowledge of breed-specific cuts and grooming techniques
- Experience using clippers, shears, brushes, dryers, and other professional grooming equipment
- Strong understanding of canine behavior and safe animal handling
- Ability to recognize common skin, coat, ear, and nail concerns
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Dependable, punctual, and professional
- Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and safely lifting or assisting dogs of various sizes
