Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Burlington, Vermont, US. This travel assignment starts 08/20/2026 for 4 weeks, with a weekly pay range of $1,897 to $2,009. Shift is 3x12-hour nights. Work setting involves inpatient care across NICU, PICU, adult ICU, and adult & pediatric general units; teaching-hospital experience is preferred. The role requires an active RRT credential and involves working in a teaching environment with flexible weekend coverage.

Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care across NICU, PICU, adult ICU, and adult/pediatric general units, including ventilator management and airway care.
- Assess patient status, initiate and monitor therapies (oxygen, bronchodilators, humidification, chest therapy), and adjust plans based on clinical response.
- Perform ABG sampling and interpretation as part of multi-disciplinary rounds and care plans.
- Administer prescribed medications and therapies, including aerosolized treatments, and ensure proper documentation in the EMR.
- Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment; ensure infection control practices and equipment readiness; participate in shift handoffs.
- Collaborate with the care team on patient progression, goals of care, and ensure continuity of care during 12-hour night shifts.
Requirements
- Active Respiratory Therapist license on file at time of submission; must be RRT and will not accept CRT.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP; NBRC verification required.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant inpatient respiratory care; prior travel experience preferred.
- EMR: Epic experience within the past 2 years required.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program (as applicable to the credentialing requirements).
- Ability to work in an inpatient, teaching-hospital-like environment; schedule flexibility and weekend coverage as needed.
- Must be able to start within the next week per program requirements.
