GENERAL MANAGER - Operations & Sales
Knotical Marine Lines, LLC| Gilford, New Hampshire | Full-time | Salary: $60K-$90K
Knotical Marine Lines (KML) manufactures, splices and distributes dock, mooring, anchor and custom marine lines, along with related marine hardware, to the recreational boating and marine industry around New England.
Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated, hands-on manager to lead daily operations and grow wholesale sales. This role combines customer development with production coordination, purchasing, inventory management and quality oversight.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop new wholesale accounts and strengthen existing customer relationships; respond to inquiries, prepare quotes and follow up on leads.
• Coordinate daily operations and production, supporting our Splicing Team and maintaining safe, efficient work and consistent high-quality products.
• Oversee purchasing, inventory levels and production/order flow to keep products and materials available.
• Develop and monitor annual sales goals; assist with marketing, promotions and customer service.
• Maintain accurate records using email, spreadsheets and order-entry, inventory and accounting software; regularly update ownership on sales and operations.
• Travel as needed to meet customers and sales partners or attend marine industry events.
• Additional hours may be required during the busy season.
Qualifications
• Sales experience and strong customer service skills.
• Knowledge of small business operations; marine wholesale experience is preferred, however, experience in a similar position in another industry will be considered. Specific training is available.
• Strong communication, organization and multitasking skills, with sound judgment and attention to detail.
• The ability to work mostly unsupervised and meet goals and deadlines.
• Computer skills, including email, spreadsheets and order-entry, inventory and/or accounting software. KML uses SOS Inventory and Quickbooks On-Line on a daily basis.
• Dependable and punctual, with a valid driver’s license and good driving record; willing to work additional hours during peak season.
