Machine Shop Quality Lead $38/hour - Direct hire

Responsibilities:

• Oversee First Article Inspections , ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer-specific requirements.
• Implement and maintain inspection processes for incoming, in-process, and final product inspections.
• Drive adherence to ISO 9001 and other applicable standards such as AS9100D. Comply with industry best practices.
• Lead the ISO audit and re-certification process for the company.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with calibration procedures for inspection tools and equipment.
• Supervise the quality inspection team, providing training, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
• Oversee Material Review Board (MRB) activities and manage non-conforming materials.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes for customer returns and internal quality issues.
• Develop and implement corrective and preventive action plans to eliminate recurring issues.
• Complete customer-issued Corrective Action Requests , Supplier Corrective Action Requests

Qualificatons:

• At least seven years previous experience in quality control, preferably within a precision fabrication, CNC machining, or sheet metal manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, First Article Inspections , and calibration procedures.
• Proven leadership experience in supervising and training inspection teams.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing non-conforming materials, customer returns, and corrective actions.
• Experience working with ERP systems (Epicor a strong plus).
• Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and blueprint reading.

Hours:

Monday through Friday – First shift

The pay is up to $38.00 an hour based on experience
