- Location: Berlin, VT 05602 (Central Vermont, near Montpelier)\n
- Unit: Med/Surg Telemetry (51 beds)\n
- Facility: 122-bed Level 3 Trauma Center\n
- Assignment Length: 4 weeks (10/9/2025 – 11/9/2025)\n
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts (every other weekend required)\n
- Hours per Week: 36\n
- Orientation: 1-2 precepted shifts plus educator time\n
- EMR: Epic EMR documentation\n
- Floating: Infrequent, to similar units\n
- Parking: Free onsite parking\n
\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n
- \n
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Vermont or compact state\n
- Minimum 2 years of recent clinical RN experience\n
- At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience\n
- Prior travel nursing experience required\n
- Epic EMR experience within the last 2 years (required)\n
- BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required\n
- Telemetry certification preferred\n
- Proficient in telemetry strip interpretation and response\n
- Peripheral IV and NG tube insertion skills\n
- Reliable personal transportation (no public transit available)\n
\n\nTravel RN Responsibilities – Med/Surg Telemetry\n
- \n
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with medical and post-surgical needs, including telemetry, orthopedics, urology, GI, COPD, CHF, diabetes, dementia, and end-of-life care\n
- Monitor, interpret, and respond to telemetry strips\n
- Perform bedside procedures such as NG tube and peripheral IV insertion\n
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams (RNs, LPNs, LNAs, ancillary staff)\n
- Accurately document patient care in Epic EMR\n
- Float to similar nursing units as needed\n
- Maintain professional appearance and adhere to safety standards\n
- Contribute to a supportive, team-oriented healthcare environment\n
