Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years OR RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled Registered Nurse with proven expertise in the Operating Room. This contract position requires a highly motivated RN to deliver top-notch perioperative care across general, orthopedic, ENT, ophthalmology, plastics, and urology specialties. Applicants should demonstrate confidence functioning in both circulating and scrubbing roles within a dynamic surgical environment.
Schedule:
- Day shifts
- 40 hours per week
Qualifications:
- Current, active RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of operating room experience as a Circulator RN
- Strong scrubbing skills highly preferred
- Proficiency in surgeries related to general, ortho, ENT, ophthalmology, plastics, and urology
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Excellent communication, adaptability, and critical-thinking skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide safe, comprehensive perioperative care as a circulating and scrubbing RN
- Prepare, organize, and maintain a sterile surgical environment
- Collaborate effectively with the surgical team to ensure positive patient outcomes
- Anticipate needs for various surgical services and specialties
- Maintain meticulous records and adhere to infection control and safety standards
- Support patient advocacy and comfort before, during, and after procedures
