Discover a rewarding contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher specializing in early childhood education. This full-time role runs from 8:00am to 3:30pm, though candidates seeking part-time hours are also welcome to apply. The position starts August 20th or later in the first semester, allowing for flexibility. As the school year progresses, you may experience an increase in caseload, ensuring your days are dynamic and fulfilling.
Key Qualifications:
- VT Early Childhood Endorsement, or eligibility for a provisional license in Vermont.
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher, ideally in an early childhood setting.
- Strong knowledge of SPED strategies, IEP development, and compliance.
- Ability to travel between 3-4 sites within the area.
- Collaboration and communication skills to effectively engage with multidisciplinary teams and families.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver and adapt specialized instruction for early childhood students with diverse learning needs.
- Develop and implement IEPs, monitor progress, and provide necessary documentation.
- Consult with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service staff.
- Participate in meetings, assessments, and parent conferences as required.
- Manage and adjust a dynamic caseload as it evolves through the academic year.
