Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This Contract role is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support the Extended School Year (ESY) program at a specialized high school setting in Ludlow, MA. The position focuses on providing tailored speech-language services within the Compass High Program, designed for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) or other learning differences. The role offers a unique opportunity to work part-time during the summer session, with the potential to continue into the following school year.
Location: Ludlow, Massachusetts
Schedule: 15-20 hours per week, 2-3 days per week
Assignment Dates: July 6, 2026 August 7, 2026
Setting: High School; specialized Autism-focused program
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services to high school students with ASD or other learning differences
- Provide Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) support, focusing on service delivery rather than evaluations
- Collaborate with educational staff to promote student independence through personalized interventions
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid state licensure to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) strongly preferred
- Experience working in school settings, ideally with high school students
- Proven ability to work with students who require AAC service support
- Understanding of developmental and educational needs of students with ASD or related learning differences
