Summary

We are now hiring a Preschool Teacher's Assistant. The Teacher's Assistant supports the Lead teacher, helping to create a caring and safe environment for the children and assisting in activities to improve the overall care and quality of education. S/he must have a love for working with young children, good communication skills, and the ability to work well with others in a team environment. The preferred candidatewill contribute to the care, growth and development of the children who attendTheChildren’s Center. Position to be open immediately.

Duties

• Assist in the implementation of learning activities and encourage participation by children.
• Actively engage in activities; manage cleanliness, maintenance, and availability of classroom materials.
• Help ensure smooth, daily transition from home to child care center.
• Professionally communicate with families regarding their child's day, including using the classroom tablet to enter daily communications into the Procare app.
• Follow all center policies and NH Childcare Licensing regulations.
• Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.

Requirements

• Ability to work well with others.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
• An understanding of child development.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.
• Minimum of 1 year of professional child care experience.
• ECE credits preferred with a minimum of 3 credits in Child Growth and Development or completion of a 2 year Education class in High School
