This role focuses on accurately picking, packing, and preparing products for shipment in a clean, team-oriented warehouse environment. You work on a first-shift schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, rotating between packing, taping and labeling, and palletizing tasks throughout the day. You follow packing lists and box size requirements, operate a steady packing machine when needed, and ensure each order is safely and correctly prepared for shipment.

Responsibilities

• Pack products into boxes according to packing lists and specified box sizes.
• Work at a designated packing station to organize, pack, and prepare orders for shipment.
• Weigh packed boxes to ensure they meet specified requirements.
• Tape and label boxes accurately with the correct shipping and product information.
• Place completed boxes onto pallets in an organized and secure manner for shipment.
• Rotate throughout the day between packing, taping and labeling, and palletizing tasks to support workflow and reduce repetitive activity.
• Operate a steady-type packing machine when needed, following all safety and operating procedures.
• Follow written work instructions in English to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Communicate effectively with team members and work cooperatively in a team-oriented environment.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety and pass required safety tests after viewing safety training materials.

Essential Skills

• High school education or equivalent.
• Ideally at least 6 months of warehouse, picking, or packing experience.
• Ability to work well with others in a team-oriented environment.
• Good communication skills.
• Strong safety awareness and willingness to follow all safety guidelines.
• Ability to follow written work instructions in English.
• Ability to pass a safety test after watching a safety video.
• Basic familiarity with warehouse picking, packing, and packaging processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Any prior machine operating experience, particularly with packing or production equipment, is beneficial.
• Experience in warehouse packing, order picking, or packaging environments.
• Comfort working in a structured, process-driven environment with rotating tasks.
• Attention to detail when reading packing lists and labeling boxes.

Work Environment

The role is based in a clean, well-organized warehouse setting with a friendly and team-oriented atmosphere. You work a consistent first-shift schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. You spend most of your time at a packing station and in the shipping area, handling boxes, pallets, and a steady-type packing machine. Steel-toed boots are required, and eye protection and hearing protection may be needed depending on the specific building and work area; eye and hearing protection are provided. The work involves standing, moving between stations, and handling packages throughout the day, with a strong emphasis on safety and proper use of personal protective equipment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Agawam, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.80 - $19.80/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
