Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a meaningful impact supporting students across K-12 as a school-based Occupational Therapist for the upcoming extended school year and beyond. This contract opportunity involves working district-wide, serving multiple schools in the Swanzey, NH area. As an OT, your expertise will play a vital role in helping students achieve their highest level of independence and participation in the classroom setting.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist license in New Hampshire (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is preferred
- Strong understanding of K-12 educational environments
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication, organization, and time management abilities
- Passion for supporting diverse learners across multiple locations
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ functional abilities and sensory-motor needs across K-12 grade levels
- Develop and implement individualized OT intervention plans within IEP teams
- Provide direct and consultative therapy services in classroom and small group settings
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, progress, and outcomes
- Consult with staff and families to support students’ access and participation in their education
- Adapt or recommend classroom tools and strategies for improved student engagement
- Travel between district schools as needed
